The Finance DBA

The Finance DBA from ECEBiS is a next-generation doctoral program (MQF/EQF Level 8) that brings together top international faculty and a convenient, cutting-edge curriculum to give you the tools, knowledge, and connections you need to take your career to new heights.

A Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) is equivalent to a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). However, there are fundamental differences between these two doctoral degrees. These differences are nearly always at the center of DBA vs PhD discussions. The key difference concerns the intended career path of the student following their degree.

A PhD focuses on the ‘theory’ underpinning business management, whereas a DBA focuses on the ‘practical’ concepts. Those who complete a PhD in business management usually wish to pursue a career in research or academia. Those who complete a DBA do so as they want to pursue a more advanced role in the business industry or within their organization, although DBA graduates indeed go to teach in Management schools.

The Finance DBA offers a wide range of core and elective courses that focus on Fintech, such as:

  • Finance Applications & Innovations
  • Government Control, Taxation, and Regulations
  • New Monies & Crypto Economy
  • Portfolio and Risk Management with Crypto Currencies
  • Quantitative Trading & AI
  • Tokens and NFT

  • KNOWLEDGE: Establish in-depth knowledge and understanding of the conceptual and theoretical foundations of Finance to inform managerial decision-making.
  • RESEARCH: Create awareness and understanding of the current debates, trends, and challenges to identify areas and demand for future research projects.
  • SKILLS: Apply the economic way of thinking to business decisions, adapt pricing strategies to prevailing market realities, and measure consumer demand responsiveness.
  • TECHNOLOGIES: Evaluate the current industry developments and transformational technologies that drive them, including Cryptocurrencies, Blockchain, AI, and Big Data.
